The Entrance waterfront is famous for its Pelicans. Known as ‘The Pelican Capital of Australia’, Daily feeding of the pelicans at 3.30 pm has been a regular event for many years and attracts thousands of visitors each year.

When planning your next trip to the Central Coast you will be happy to know that powered camping/caravan sites  are listed pet friendly for you canine and feline friends. Please confirm with the manager when booking about the facilities and arrangements. Also note that during our high peak season over Christmas and Easter and during public holidays that pets are not allowed.

The Entrance Water Park

This is a must for the kids. ‘Veras Water Garden’ also known as ‘The Entrance Water Park’ is a children’s water playground and the ideal place for the young ones to have a splash.

 Daily Pelican Feeding – The Entrance Waterfront

The pelican feeding in The Entrance Memorial Park is a highlight of any visit to the Central Coast. A new amphitheatre, overlooking The Entrance channel and built especially for the pelican feed, is an ideal seating area as it allows everyone an unobstructed view. The feed goes ahead in all weather and is sponsored by local businesses. Special feeding’s for groups can be arranged by calling The Entrance Town Centre Management.

The start of the summer tourist season is kicked off on the first full weekend in December with a Mardi Gras; this is one of Australia’s oldest Mardi Gras and has been running since 1950. This major event includes fun runs, Live Concerts, fireworks and other popular displays.

Chromefest in 2013 was a huge success with over 550 classic American autos, hot rods, dragsters and low rider bicycles on display, with an estimated 57,000 visitors for the weekend. Chromefest will be back in 2014, there will be a street cruise, ladies lunch, twilight cruise, continuous rock and roll, rockabilly, massive show and shine, Miss Pinup Doll Australia, Chromefest Gala Ball, DJ’S and three stages of free entertainment, at Memorial Park, The Entrance, the Waterfront Plaza, The Entrance and the Bayview Mall, The Entrance.

musicCentral Coast Country Music Festival

The Entrance is Host to the Central Coast Country Music Festival on the 2nd full weekend in NOVEMBER every year. With over 90 artists and performers the event attracts thousands of people.
As well as the professional musicians performing visitors can enjoy a Talent Showcase, Poet’s Breakfast, Busking Competition, Line Dancing Displays, Stalls and amusement rides.
